About
Developing Kingdoms in Different Stages (Developing K.I.D.S.) provides free, high-quality afterschool and summer activities including leadership, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community service, as well as support for families and the greater community. Open to all youth ages 5-24 and their families without exception. Sincere and long-term community engagement is encouraged, and college preparation and career readiness are prioritized.
Developing K.I.D.S.' mission is to strengthen urban communities through inter-generational leadership, academic enrichment, and civic engagement. In 2024, we celebrated 18 years of service and the purchase of our new 23,000 sq. ft. home nicknamed, The Village, on the northwest side of Detroit located at 24230 W. McNichols Rd. @ Telegraph. Here, in this vibrant hub, we will double the number of youth, families, and community served in this building alone.
